Induction Retrofit Street Lighting: The Benefits

Small businesses, larger corporations and even local governments are all among the organizations that are implementing induction retrofit street lighting, to save money on energy costs and to take environmentally friendly action that benefits everyone. Since there's so much talk these days about induction retrofit street lighting in the industrial circuits, we put together the top three benefits of this new wave of lighting technology.

1.    Induction Retrofits last longer than conventional bulbs. For years lighting up streets and parking lots relied upon standard HID bulbs. As induction technology has progressed over the years, though, many businesses that require bright outdoor lighting have switched to induction retrofit street lighting. These bulbs can last up to 5 times longer than HID bulbs. That means that maintenance expenses are greatly reduced, which is something that every business and municipality can jump on board with.
2.    Induction Lights are Green. As the government continues to increase tax breaks for businesses that implement environmentally friendly operations, it's only natural that business owners would seek a greener way to light up roads and parking areas. Induction retrofit bulbs can easily replace standard bulbs and they use less energy.
3.    Lower energy costs. Speaking of less energy, a lower energy usage results in lower energy bills. Since everyone is concerned with stretching their operating budgets, induction lighting is the obvious way to go.

Less frequent replacements, green initiatives and lower energy costs make induction retrofit lighting the smart choice for lighting up the outside world. And, best of all, many businesses that replace their traditional bulbs realize an almost immediate savings, so the cost of switching to induction lights is easy to quantify in the yearly budget.

Progress for Green Lighting Solutions

In recent years there has been an ongoing push for all things “environmentally friendly.” Finding green lighting solutions has been of key concern to business owners, as traditional light bulbs have never been very efficient, so they haven't exactly been considered to be environmentally friendly. In the never ending effort to introduce green lighting solutions in recent years, some pretty exciting breakthroughs have been made.

Here are some of the lighting solutions that have helped spark the energy revolution:

-    CFL Bulbs. Compact Fluorescent Bulbs have been popular for a few years now. These twisted little bulbs offer home owners a great alternative to the traditional incandescent light bulb. They last longer and use less energy than the older bulbs, and have paved the way for other green lighting solutions.
-    LED lights. For years, we've all seen LED lights creeping into every facet of life. From flashlights to indoor track lighting, LED products are certainly proving to be some of the most interesting, and energy saving light products currently available. It took a while for LED lights to catch on, but they are making a huge impact on the green lighting industry.
-    Induction Lights. When it comes to industrial sized outdoor lighting fixtures, nothing compares to induction lighting in terms of green lighting products. Induction bulbs can last up to five times longer than traditional bulbs, and they produce a high quality, white light that is hard to match.

As you can see, there have been some major advances in the world of environmentally friendly lighting products. CFL bulbs, LED lights and induction light retrofits are leading the way to light up the world while using less of our precious energy resources.

The Advantages of LED Track Lighting

The way a room, business or any type of fixed area is lit makes a big difference in how that area is perceived. In the home, nice lighting makes the environment more relaxing and inviting. In business, having the right lighting is essential to make the establishment professional looking and a place where customers want to spend time (and money.) LED Track Lighting is quickly becoming one of the most popular ways to light up homes and businesses all over the world.

Here are a few advantages that you get from LED Track Lighting:

-    They save space. We've all seen rooms where there are just too many bulky lamps taking up valuable floor space. And whether you're talking about a home setting or a busineR, G, and B LEDs [7]. Image via Wikipediass, floor space is always at a premium. When track lighting is used, those old lamps and lighting fixtures can go away, which frees up plenty of functional space in any type of room.
-    LED lights are more efficient. Conventional light bulbs are becoming somewhat of a dinosaur in today's world. LED Track Lighting offers plenty of bright, easy on the eyes illumination, and they do so while also using less energy. Everyone can use lower energy bills, so track lighting fixtures with LED lights are always a welcome addition.
-    More options. When track lighting is installed, there are more ways to illuminate a space than ever before. Tracks can be run in a linear fashion or curved and shaped to nearly any custom specifics. It's always nice to have options, and track lighting rigs offer plenty of options for business and home owners.

Using LED track lights is the smart, space-saving alternative to bulky light fixtures. And since they offer superior light while using less energy, it's no wonder that these lights are so in demand these days.

Reliable Lighting for Gas Station Owners

There aren't many businesses that can stay open without adequate lighting. And this holds doubly true for gas stations. We all know that familiar glow off the highways and byways that indicate that a gas station is open for business, even when all the other establishments have closed up shop. Gas station canopy lights offer customers an immediate welcome and allow people to feel safe as they pull in during the night time hours. But how can gas station owners improve their lighting situation without breaking the bank in the process?

Induction Lights to the Rescue

Gas station owners are beginning to ditch the old canopy light bulbs and are now replacing them with induction light bulbs. Putting induction lights in as the replacement bulbs for gaLONDON, UNITED KINGDOM - FEBRUARY 1: The sign...Image by Getty Images via @daylifes station canopy lights provides some potentially huge benefits to gas station owners. Here are a few of the benefits that owners have been reporting:

-    Longer bulb life. Induction light bulbs are rated at 100,000 hours of service. More time up means less time replacing bulbs, so maintenance costs go down over time.
-    Reduced energy bills. Induction lights do not use as much energy to provide high quality light. Less energy used means lower energy bills, which is something that every gas station owner can get on board with.
-    Brighter lights. Induction bulbs burn with a clear, white light that really illuminates outdoor areas well.

With benefits like those mentioned here, it's no wonder that even big gas station chains, like BP are switching their gas station canopy lights over to induction bulbs. Industry insiders are even calling induction lights the wave of the future for business owners and governmental agencies responsible for lighting up parking lots and roadways.

Induction Lights: Smart Lighting for Parking Lots and Roadways

It's always interesting to see what local governments are doing to keep costs down and stay under budget. And in recent years, both businesses and local governments are working overtime to come up with smart, energy-efficient solutions. In fact, there have been some studies done lately, where small towns and cities have made serious efforts to find the most cost-effective, and energy efficient means of keeping their streets well lit. And in nearly all the case studies, induction street lights have been leading the way as the light bulb replacement products of choice.

They Last Longer

One city replaced all of their conventional light bulbs in their street lights with induction street lights. Over time this city realized some huge savings, as they did not have to replace their new induction street lights nearly as often as they had to when their street lights were using conventional bulbs. Since the induction retrofits last nearly five times as long as the older bulbs (under ideal circumstances), it naturally follows that product and maintenance costs end up dropping dramatically.

They Look Great

One thing that many folks have noticed during these case studies is that the light quality achieved with induction lights is superior to the light given off by standard street light bulbs. Nearly everyone agrees that the light generated by induction bulbs is simply clearer and easier on the eyes than traditional HID lamps. And since keeping roadways and parking lots well lit is such a big priority for businesses and governmental agencies, it only makes sense to go with the bulb that provides superior light.

With better light quality and a longer lasting bulb, it's certainly easy to understand why so many businesses and cities are replacing their street light bulbs with induction lights.

Induction Retrofits: It's Time for Longer-Lasting Lights

It never ceases to amaze us just how much money can go into simply replacing light bulbs in a business environment. For starters, there are the product costs that are associated with simply buying enough conventional bulbs to keep your business illuminated. And then it's time to consider how much money has to be paid out to maintenance staff to actually replace the bulbs. This viscous cycle seems like it never stops. Of course, there are smarter ways to replace those traditional bulbs. By using induction retrofits, you can start using bulbs that have a proven track record for lasting a lot longer than conventional bulbs.

Why Conventional Bulbs Burn Out So Quickly

Without going into too many technical details, the number one reason that conventional bulbs burn out so quickly has to do with their dependence on electrodes, or filaments. This particular element of a conventional bulb can only last for so many hours before it simply burns out. When that happens, it's time to fork out more money to replace the bulb. However, businesses that replace those conventional bulbs using induction retrofits don't have to worry about frequent bulb burnout. That's because induction lights don't use a filament, so the bulbs burn for a longer time. In the best case scenario induction retrofits can last up to 5 times longer than a conventional bulb.

Since induction lights last so much longer there's less money spent on replacement bulbs and less money put out for maintenance overhead. It's little wonder that so many business owners have totally switched over their lighting fixtures to exclusively use induction lights to keep costs down. After all, at the end of the day, a successful business owner is one that recognizes the value of products that last longer.

Green Lighting Alternatives

It's amazing how much you see about environmental issues these days. And with dwindling natural resources, and pollution issues, it's no doubt that we're all going to be hearing a lot more about green products and services well into the next few years. And business owners will want to pay special attention to doing all they can to go green in their day to day operations. With the environmental issues in mind, lots of business owners and government entities are looking for green lighting alternatives.

Starting at the Source

We always hear a lot about alternative forms of energy in the news. The research is really showing some promise for new alternative fuels in the near future. However, being green isn't focused solely on fuel. In the case of green lighting products, like induction ligImage showing both a fluorescent and an incand...                                Image via Wikipediahting, the progress is being made by looking at the energy-consuming part of the light itself – the bulb – instead of the actual energy source. Induction lights are well known for consuming much less energy than conventional bulbs, which makes these replacement bulbs the ideal product for business owners to light up outside areas, like parking lots, outdoor canopies and other large areas that need to stay lit during the night time hours.

Less energy used, even when it is conventional energy, means less impact to the environment. And since induction lights are the green lighting choice that allows business owners to replace their conventional, energy-hogging bulbs, these green light products  make it  entirely possible, and affordable, to be environmentally friendly and to save money at the same time – a win-win situation that most business owners are sure to appreciate.

They Last Longer

We all know when we purchase things for our business, that sooner or later those items are going to have to be replaced. After all, nothing lasts forever, right? Conventional light bulbs have always been a pain to deal with. Especially for business owners who need to keep outdoor areas lit throughout the year. Thankfully, induction lighting lasts a heck of a lot longer than those old conventional bulbs. That means that business owners don't have to purchase bulbs as often, which equals less money out of the budget.

But induction lighting also saves business owners money on maintenance fees. Since they don't have to be replaced nearly as often, business owners don't have to fork out additional fees to have bulbs replaced. Induction bulbs also use a lot less energy, so the monthly energy expenditures tend to go down for business owners who make the switch.

We all want to find smarter ways to conduct business, and induction retrofit bulbs are a great way to get started.
