Induction Retrofits Solutions: Bright Ideas for Business Lighting Needs

For many businesses today the rush is on to find ways to be more environmentally friendly, without going over budget. It's a difficult balancing act to actually implement green energy practices, while budgets continue to shrink. Induction retrofits solutions, though, actually help businesses to save money on their energy bills, while also being beneficial for the environment.

Common Induction Retrofits Solutions

A lot of induction lighting pilot studies have been taking place in recent years. In some of these studies, entire cities have had their existing HID lighting products retrofitted with induction lighting. Of course, these products are very large in scope, but so far nearly all of the communities involved have realized an almost instant recouping of money put into the projects.

Induction retrofits save businesses and communities money in a few, key ways:

    Induction streetlight retrofits. As you know, street lighting, in addition to parking lot lighting and illumination for highway signs, can prove to be a significant cost in terms of energy usage. When traditional HID lamps are retrofitted and replaced with induction lights, less energy is used to provide lighting that is as good, and often times better, than the illumination provided by HID lights. So not only do these street lamps cost less to operate, but they can actually improve visibility on roads and highways; providing a two-fold savings.
    Less maintenance. Since induction lights typically have a product life of 65,000 to 100,000 operational hours, they don't need to be replaced as often, which significantly lowers ongoing maintenance costs.

As you can see, induction lights are quickly becoming the most efficient lighting products for business, and industrial lighting needs.
